ADDRESS OF ACCOMODATION (Hostel Vič)
Dijaški dom VIČ (Hostel Vič)

There is a number of other possibilities to reach us:
a) the easiest way to find us is to take a taxi on the station;
b) there is a half hour's walk from the main bus / train station to Dijaški dom Vič. If you choose to go on foot, you need to walk down the Slovenska Road, turn right onto Aškerčeva, then continue on Tržaška road. Turn left onto Jadranska, then right onto Gerbičeva and at the ISPRS Summer School signpost you will see Hostel VIČ (on the left);
c) If you choose to take the municipal transport, you must ride the bus no. 6 (DOLGI MOST) from the Bavarski Dvor station (at the beginning of Slovenska Road) to the Nama station (next stop), where you have to change the bus (no.1 - MESTNI LOG) to the Gerbičeva station (6 stops). Turn right at the trafficlights onto Gerbičeva and at the ISPRS Summer School signpost you will see Hostel VIČ (on the left);

   2.2. LJUBLJANA - how to get here

by plane
Airport Brnik, Ljubljana
Main Slovenian airport is not located in the city itself but lies about 30 km northwest of Ljubljana. Airport Brnik receives regular scheduled flights so don't worry - buses from the airport to the centre are frequent and quite cheap. There are numerous public transportation connections from the airport to the capital city Ljubljana. Some info:
http://www.lju-airport.si/eng/vsebina.asp?IDM=94
A public airport bus (50min) runs between Ljubljana and Brnik Airport. It departs from the bus station (stop No 28) hourly during the day on week days and every two hours on weekends. A private airport van also links Trg OF near the Ljubljana bus station with the airport.
Useful links:
http://www.lju-airport.si/eng/default.asp - Airport's web page. It provides all sorts of information, including bus timetable (check “getting here” link) and arrivals/departures for all the flights.

other airports
Other airports close to Ljubljana are: Vienna-Austria (400kms away from Ljubljana ), Klagenfurt-Austria (85km), Graz-Austria (200kms), Trieste-Italy (100km), Venice-Italy (250km), Zagreb-Croatia (140kms).. There are buses and trains running from all these cities to Ljubljana.
Useful links:

by bus or train
Domestic and international trains arrive at and depart from central Ljubljana's lone train station. The lemon-yellow building houses a TIC branch office, bar, cafe, okrepčevalnica (snack bar) and general store. All buses and trains arrive to the main station (they are next to each other) in Ljubljana 's centre.

Public transportation in Ljubljana
Ljubljana has a good bus transportation system payable with tokens or cash.

3. Accommodation
Dijaški dom VIČ
Gerbičeva 51A

It is situated near student dormitories Mestni log and shopping center Murgle and it has good connection (public transport: bus no 1) with the most important and interesting spots in Ljubljana. It takes 10 minutes by foot from Hostel Vič to the summer school venue.

If you need accommodation before or after Summer School we can book the rooms in Hostel Vič. We recommend also Ljubljana Youth Hostel Celica (http://www.souhostel.si/en/index.html), which is in 5 min walking distance from the railway or bus station (see the map). Rooms cost from 14€ up.
