2.2. LJUBLJANA
- how to get here
by plane
Airport Brnik, Ljubljana
Main Slovenian airport is not located in the city itself
but lies about 30 km northwest of Ljubljana. Airport Brnik
receives regular scheduled flights so don't worry - buses from
the airport to the centre are frequent and quite cheap. There
are numerous public transportation connections from the
airport to the capital city Ljubljana. Some info:
http://www.lju-airport.si/eng/vsebina.asp?IDM=94
A public airport bus (50min) runs between Ljubljana and Brnik
Airport. It departs from the bus station (stop No 28) hourly
during the day on week days and every two hours on weekends. A
private airport van also links Trg OF near the Ljubljana bus
station with the airport.
Useful links:

- Airport's web page. It provides all sorts of information,
including bus timetable (check “getting here” link) and
arrivals/departures for all the flights.

(400kms away from Ljubljana ), Klagenfurt-Austria (85km),
Graz-Austria (200kms), Trieste-Italy (100km), Venice-Italy
(250km), Zagreb-Croatia (140kms).. There are buses and trains
running from all these cities to Ljubljana.

bar, cafe, okrepčevalnica (snack bar) and general store. All

each other) in Ljubljana 's centre.
Public transportation in Ljubljana
Ljubljana has a good
